Ramesh our tour guide presented us with some very special gifts. When we arrived he placed garlands of orange marigolds around our necks to welcome us to Nepal; as we prepared to leave, he gave us scarves to say goodbye. He definitely has a special place in all of our hearts and our trip would not have been the same without him and his crazy Korean ringtone that made us laugh every time it went off.

All 13 of us first stumbled upon the city of Bhaktapur, the previous capital in Nepal in the 12th through 15th centuries. We took a tour through the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and ran into beautiful pottery, temples, and restaurants at every corner. Religious harmony really unifies the city of Bhaktapur. The city sits in its magnificence and splendor along its many historical sites and sacred statues.  We even had a chance to see artists working their craft in painting the Mandala, the Buddhist and Hindu sacred circular symbol. Ornately finished and with such hard fine work each Mandala is painted with care.

Everest Base Camp Trek

I and my wife completed the Everest base camp trek which was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Pasang Sherpa, did a fantastic job of pointing out all the mountains, explaining the Nepalese and Sherpa culture, taking care of our health/safety. This trip was very flexible and interesting.

It is hard to describe the beauty of the Everest Region so we highly recommend a visit – especially with Attentive Holiday Tours & Travel! EBC Trek with Tour 2011

I booked a trekking tour to the Everest National park, the following travel to Pokhara, Lumbini and Sauraha and also a package tour from Delhi to the Taj Mahal (Agra) with attentive holiday tours in October 2011. Everything was perfectly well organised. Ramesh was very helpfull and answered all questions about every detail of the tours in a very knowledgable way. He was eager to give all the information needed. The lodges and hotels where carefully chosen. The guide for the trekking and the tour guides needed during the following travel were carefully chosen and experienced. Because of the talented organisation no difficulties arose and everything was perfectly well on schedule. We were even able to avoid the the transport problems because of the closure of Lukla airport for one week (beginning October 31). Sauraha with different jungle experiences can be higly recommended. Especially the new upmarket lodge near Sauraha is worth spending the money; the service (including tours on elephant back starting directly from the lodge) is perfect. The cabins are luxerious. Also the knowledgable "lectures" on wildlife in the evening were instructive. The tour starting from Delhi was also a success. Transport and hotels were flawless. Agra with the Taj Mahal was of course the higlight. I can recommend attentive holiday tours to all future customers without hesitation.
