Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak ClimbingSituated in the Everest region to the east of the main Khumbu trekking trails, Mera Peak stands at 6654 m. The trail follows the original Everest expedition route from the roadhead at Jiri, crossing the high ridges and spectacular deep river gorges of the Sherpa homeland of Everest region before entering the less-frequented wilderness of the Hindu valley. J.O.M. Roberts and Sin Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mera Peak on 20 may 1953. From the summit of Mera peak the view is beautiful and visible the peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Cho Oyo. Under favorable conditions, it is possible to climb the peak and descend back on the same day.

Day 03: Chutanga to Chhatrabuk

Day 04: Chhatrabuk to Kothey

Day 05: Kothey to Tangnang

Day 06: Rest day Tangnang

Day 07: Thangnak to Khare

Day 08: Rest day Khare

Day 09: Khare to High Camp

Day 10: High Camp to Summit/ back to Khare

Day 11: Khare to Kothey

Day 12: Kothey to Chhatrabuk

Day 13: Chhatrabuk to Lukla

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu
